    Merry Christmas to All!

The board has been quiet so I thought I’d add an end of year message.

I hope all had a joyous and blessed Christmas, with celebration and praise of His birth. Also that each of you enjoyed family, friends and of course too much food. I pray that, no matter how small, each of you were blessed with some sort of progress in strengthening your marriage. That each of your spouses took time to notice your efforts in rebuilding your unions and showed appreciation for those efforts. That they also took a step towards you in faith and goodwill. As we head into a new year let us each be recharged in our resolve to do what is right for our marriages and families. That 2008 will bring us new successes and reasons for continued hope.

As for my lovely wife and I, we have continued to make slow progress on our issues and are working to close that gap that still exists between us. How long this will take form here I still don’t have a clue. Our journey has been difficult but we are miles down the road from where we started. A path of dedication to the needs of my wife and family with unconditional love for her as she struggles with her feelings for me seems to have been the best option for us. Without this agape and understanding love of her I don’t believe I could have continued the struggle. While we are not yet in the marriage we once had, we are in a far better marriage than we have been in for years. Happy to spend time with each other and watch our kids grow. The gripping fears that the marriage will end have pretty much subsided for us both but we both know things could slip. Her efforts have been amazing when I look back on how bad things were and just how close she was to not giving us a chance. But she did and I will always be grateful for that. It serves to reinforce my appreciation of her and just how lucky I am to have her.

Please all, continue your efforts and prayers for your family. With time, love, patience and faith things do get better. As Shohn scripted in his last entry, baby steps, baby steps.

May He bless us all in 2008 and help us to complete our journey to a happy and blessed marriage.

Take care all. Talk to you next year!
