Well, I’ve sort of joined a garage band in my free time. Sort of converting secular songs and giving them a bit of “Christian” twist. For example, the popular song by Nirvana with such lyrics as “rape me” would be replaced with “save me”.

 

Anyway, I tried the guitar tab for Radiohead’s Creep. Wasn’t getting it. Then I found a video on youtube and various renditions of that oh so pretty song such as this -> Radiohead - Creep - Covered by Beck (36 hits) or Radiohead - Creep - The Pretenders (37 hits)

What is really cool about this whole youtube thing is that there are tutorials for playing songs. I sat there and read the tablature and wasn’t “getting it”. The video shored that up in about 5 minutes. If you are an aspiring guitar player such as myself (or secretly preparing a serenade to win back your estranged wife’s heart wink wink - girls dig guitar players right?) then try doing a search on youtube for guitar lessons and the song name, etc.

 

Anyway, I hope to prepare a video at some point and send it to me potentially soon to be ex-wife as a gesture of my love for her. Hopefully she won’t take some lighter fluid and a match and torch the video. We shall see what fireworks ensue. I have to wait a bit though. It seems like we need to get the divorce first so she can say “I told you so” first then her hatred / anger might calm down a bit.
